Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 2026

1. Overview

Your privacy is central to our values. This Privacy Policy describes what information the ZeroGPT AI Humanizer Extension ("the Extension") collects, processes, and stores, and how we protect your text inputs and settings data.

2. Data Processing & Privacy

The Extension operates under a strict user-first data privacy framework. Specifically:

  • Text Data Encryption: When you send text to the ZeroGPT live API to be humanized, the string payload is transmitted securely over HTTPS directly to ZeroGPT's transform engine. No copies or caches are intercepted or retained by the Extension developer.
  • Local-Only History Storage: Your humanization history (input history logs, score percentages, and timestamps) is stored 100% locally on your own system. The Extension uses Chrome local storage (`chrome.storage.local`), which remains sandboxed within your computer. We have no remote server storage for this data.
  • Configurations & Keys: API selection keys and endpoint details configured on the Settings tab remain stored strictly locally and securely within your sandboxed browser space.

3. Third-Party Integrations

When executing humanization operations, the Extension submits payload text directly to ZeroGPT's public service transform endpoints. Any data processing performed by ZeroGPT is governed strictly by the respective privacy provisions of ZeroGPT.com.

4. Data Deletion Controls

You have full, unconditional control over your local data. You can delete individual humanized entries or purge your entire history logs instantly at any time via the History tab in the Extension popup panel.
